In the 1st Division, newly promoted Carrick and Onthank both have 9 pts from their opening three games. Carrick thumped Castle Rovers 4-0 while Onthank got through 3-2 against Broomfield. At the other end of the table last season's relegated clubs Newmilns and Darvel have yet to get any points on the board, perhaps an early indication of difficult times ahead for the "Valley" pair.
As in the higher divisions, its a promoted club making the early showing in the 2nd. Dalmellington made it three wins in a row to stay top after a convincing 4-0 win at Ardeer. And another promoted club are second in the division. Prestwick returned from their trip to Kilmarnock Town with the day's best win - 6-0.
Its looking close in the 3rd with Crosshill, Dunlop and Dirrans all on 6 points. Crosshill were the only one of the trio to win today, however - 5-1 at Dirrans, while Dunlop lost 2-1 at Ayr Amateurs.
Setting the pace in the 4th are Loudoun with 6 points from 2 games after a 3-0 win against their Kincaidston visitors. Apart from Symington who have yet to play, the only other team not to have dropped a point is Crookedholm who won their first match of the season 3-2 at home to new club West Kirk.
Most of the 2nd and 3rd Division clubs will be in action on Monday night with the Premier and 1st playing on Wednesday
